The gentiana flower (gentiana andrewsii) is also known as the flower of victory, native to alpine regions in the northern hemispheres of North America, Asia and Europe. This abstract exploration explores the idea of “victory” as a whole composed of many small, moving parts, including spirits unseen in the precolonial Philippine belief of animism; the belief that all things (mainly those that occur in the natural world) contain spiritual essence and agency.
